City connections reflection

As many people already know, in humanities, my class and I worked on something called the City connections, basically, we wrote about the historical factors, the environmental factors and transportations of a city we've lived in. I think I did pretty well on the presentation and power point. The power point had enough information, enough graphics to interest the audience, and enough resources. But as I saw other presentations, I realized that I forgot to put a title page, but I don't think that that'll count against me. But my presenting-to-the-class was better than my slideshow. I talked loudly and clearly so that everybody could listen, I told more information than was on the slide, I even tried to add a tiny little bit of humor in it.

During the process of making the slideshow, I gathered information first, then arranged them in the order that would sound the best when said out loud. I also read the " B" example the teachers gave to us, thinking of ways that I could be better than that example. I don't really think that There is a lot that people can learn from me about making a power point, but there is something about presenting. Some people need to know what to say, stay calm and be proud of your work.

The rubric helped, but not as much as the example. as I have said before, I looked at the example and thought about what I can do to do a better job. But overall, I think I did a pretty good job. A better job at presenting than the slideshow

Learning profiles.

During humanities class these two days, We have been looking at our individual learning profiles, basically we found out which is our dominant brain side, ear, eye, hand, and foot. then we found out our profile letter. each letter has its own characteristics. I ended up with profile C.

I am able to learn in many different types on environments, but the best pace to learn to me is probably at a quiet, yet interesting desk with the windows open, that way, I have fresh air ( I likey) and loads of work space to work in. As my profile paper says ( this part is true ) I also prefer a structured, organized learning habits.
But even in those conditions, I need to get up and take a rest after a long period of working, otherwise ( I know from experience) my brain practically burns out and I can't give my full potential in my work. and I also need some sort of drink next to me, just to keep me refreshed.

There aren't a lot of ways to help me learn better, I can pretty much handle that myself. but what I really need, is  a nice, relaxing place to work in.

There are many things that the teachers need to know about me, but the most important thing is probably that I am easily distracted. It's not like I don't want to listen to class or anything, it's just that I need silence to concentrate.

New years resolutions post

Do you get the feeling that you just cam't seem to find a suitable new year's resolution, well, i'm getting that feeling now, but wait! what can I think of to make me a better person?well, my locker is a mess, and I am really needing to grow taller, OK, I know what I need to work on now!
My first new year's resolution is to get organized, obviously, I can make a good start to tidying up my locker a bit, it really is a mess, you know how a person looks can also change the way other people think about you? Well, I guess it's the same with lockers. people may think I have a messy life, but you know what? I like a clean work and living space. I can also tidy up my work space at home, and my files and folders need straightening out too. this resolution also relates to something else, responsibility. That is the resolution within my resolution. My parents are always telling me to "be responsible", and I know that's for my own good, but sometimes stuff just slips my mind, you get that too right? No? *sigh* OK,moving on.

My second resolution is to grow taller. my shortness have really been affecting my life! like getting called a gnome, or midget, or shorty, and I even got picked on by older kids once. But I figured that quite a large percentage of my problems would be over if I get just a bit taller.I am already trying some Taiwanese methods of growing taller, they worked on my cousin, she grew about six centimeters with those methods, and she only did them for less than a year! From now on, I drink a glass of milk in the morning and before bed, jump to touch of the door frame, that should do the trick...I guess. But during the summer, Mom's getting me to eat a type of Chinese herbal medicine( Which I know will taste absolutely repulsive) to boost my height.I've got it all planned out...
So enough about what will happen, let's get to some things about what has happened. Well, let's see, overall, I went to club med in cherating, an awesome Christmas party, and Taiwan.
Club Med was probably the event that stands out the clearest in my mind. It was a fine clear, Sunday morning, My family and I were getting ready to go to Club med.And everything was set. I just knew I was going to have a blast with this guy, Bryan Chong,(Watching something)
and this guy, Yuya Yoshioka,(at Halloween, poking the camera)
and a thing you should know, is that these are like some of my best buds.As a long, three hour ride pulls in, we could only see one problem, rain. You couldn't see ten feet in front of your car! and I'm not over-exaggerating, and since this Club Med is in an opening,in a jungle, by the beach. the rain was pretty hard, and the waves, you do not want to be in it.But it was not such a boring wait, the three of us sat in our room and discuss. we were going to make another movie. finally, the rain cleared off, and since this was the second time there, we went roaming around. At around seven, we went to dinner. The buffet was unbelievable!I really can't describe it on one blog post, But you can give a pretty good guess with the word "unbelievable". At around nine, we went and watched a daily show the grew put up, it was a comedy show and you could not believe what the people there are willing to do to make you laugh! ROFLOL!!!! And that was pretty much it for the day. The following days were just as exciting, except we went swimming and took some underwater scenes,
went to the archery course and gave arrow punctures to polystyrene targets, screamed ourselves hoarse on a flying trapeze, got beaten up by sea water (waves), and painted ourselves each a nice batik cloth.Overall, can't wait for next year!
Alright, let's see, talent...hmm...well, I've always been pretty good at riding vehicles with wheels. I was a natural on a bike,  learnt how to ride one the day after my dad got me my first bike, and I also managed to work a rip-stick on my first try, seriously, these are all real stories, what? you don't know what a rip-stick is?here's a picture

So basically, it's a skateboard with two wheels. I'm also good on roller blades, and ice skating, so you can say that I'm good at wheeled sports. I also have other talents, but I'll like to stick with this one.
